We are still finding our way around but there are plenty of lovely drives up into the mountains. The village of Biar with its old castle and streets that tumble down the hillside is well worth a visit. A day in Alicante is not to be missed with its old town, imposing castle and winding streets. It also has sophisticated shopping and a vast choice of places to eat. It takes about 30 mins drive.
Lets not forget the array of golf courses . La Marquesa is the local one in Rojales but La Finca and a host of others are close by. I’m sure you will discover many other places but when you’ve had a hard day out the apartment will be waiting to welcome you back with all the comfort of home. Just reach for the corkscrew and head for the terrace......

When you get tired of lying on the roof terrace , swimming in the pool or drinking wine on the balcony there are plenty of things to do. When we go we enjoy discovering the towns up and down the coast. The beach at Guardamar is one of the best on the coast and has plenty of restaurants along its wide promenade . Santa Pola is another one ,while a drive down to Santiago de la Ribera makes a great day out. Another few minutes lead you to Los Alcazares with its sweeping front and lovely old buildings.
Closer to Home
A stroll through Formentera is delightful in the evening and there are several bars to call in. A walk through the orange grove will lead to Benijofar where you can pick up a paper and watch the world go by over a cup of coffee. Rojales is 2 minutes drive for banks and shops. The street markets are not to be missed !
